With the creation of Les Films d’Ici 2, Les Films d’Ici is expanding to keep moving forwards together.
Les Films d'Ici has expanded over the last thirty years by staying faithful to writers and directors and true to the principle of unearthing and accompanying new talent in France and beyond.
Now more than ever it is our conviction that we must grow together to realize our dreams for documentaries, drama, animation and now interactive projects across all production and distribution formats. We share a desire to create and shape an additional tool that puts artistic work at the heart of decisions and the film-making process.
Working alongside and together with les Films d’Ici, et avec Les Films d'Ici 2 - recently established by Laura Briand, Frédéric Chéret, Richard Copans, Laurent Duret, Virginie Guibbaud, Serge Lalou, Sébastien Onomo and Charlotte Uzu - will strive to perpetuate, develop and pass on our approach by making several generations of producers partners in an adventure initiated by Richard Copans almost 30 years ago.
By increasing the pool of personal wishes, skills and experience, we shall pursue a production policy rooted in the here and now with a nomadic Ici-2 that accompanies audiovisual, cinematographic and transmedia creation; an Ici-2 that plays an active role in the world; an Ici-2 for which form is as important as content.
With Serge Lalou as Chairman and Frédéric Chéret as Managing Director, Les Films d'Ici 2 (SAS with a capital of €100,000) intends to be present in every area of production and distribution. Virginie Guibbaud and all the other partners will continue to produce documentaries with all our hearts, but we shall also explore new sectors such as transmedia (Laurent Duret) and drama (Sébastien Onomo). Charlotte Uzu will continue her international work and develop new co-productions, and Laura Briand will strengthen our presence in the production of feature-length films for the cinema.
We shall continue to collaborate on a regular basis with producers Valérianne Boué, Sylvie Brenet and Camille Laemle.
