ICELANDIC, AU MUSEE DE LA MER

Directed by : Samuel Doux

The stage director Arthur Nauzyciel is producing Le Musée de la mer by Marie Darrieussecq in Reykjavik. He brings together the leading artists of the Icelandic stage (the choreographer Erna Omarsdottir, the musician Bardi Johannsson, writer and lyricist for Björk, Sjon…). Strangely, the events experienced by the characters in the play, written two years ago, have been occurring in Iceland since the financial crisis of late 2008. Iceland, an ultra-speculative society for the last fifteen years, is now for sale at one euro on eBay… The film relates the enigmatic or divinatory connections between the account of a crisis (Le Musée de la mer) and a world in crisis. Told with the tools of that crisis: three cameras… mobile phone cameras.
