What is a donation? What motivations lie behind such a gesture? What acts, what thoughts, what words, what emotions accompany it? These are some of the questions the film tries to answer by tracing the events surrounding the donation several years ago of a statuette to the Louvre Museum.
At the same time one discovers not only a particularly admirable work of art, but also the Louvre Museum and its vocation.
